WJCC is committed to bring about positive changes in the quality of disadvantaged and destitute women’s life through social mobilization, provision of credit, and skill training with a view to enhancing their self-help capacity in the endeavors for empowerment through productive activities.

Goal
–
Much has been achieved since 1990, but gender equality remains an unfinished agenda. WJCC is striving forward to remind the people of Bangladesh that they cannot wait another century to fully tap into the enormous resource of women. In all its work it aims to achieve real visible progress on gender equality and to galvanize partners in support of this goal.
Objectives
–
- To develop institutions by increasing capacity of groups, CBOs, federations, and alliances.
- To increase literacy and awareness in society through Early Child Care Development and Non-Formal Primary Education.
- To reduce gender discrimination and domestic violence through mass campaign and social mobilization.
- To reduce vulnerability through disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
- To develop human resources both at community and organization level through capacity building and skills training.
- To reduce food scarcity and economic empowerment through Nakshi kata work and eco-friendly agriculture, livestock raising and other off farm activities.
- To strengthen governance at all level by Women’s participation, advocacy, as well as increased access to justice and local resources.
- To improve health and cleanliness through primary health care, water and sanitation.
- To increase income and employment opportunities by providing capital and technical assistance to Women.
